5th October 2003 Windsurfing: Borth, Golf Course Wind Direction: NW Wind Stength: 12-14knts Surf / Sea State: small Air Temperature: 13 Sea Temperature: 16 Weather: Sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered: Sunday morning saw calm conditions. The sunshine was welcome as it was a bit chilly. By midday the wind started to fill in and eventually got up to 14knts. I thought about rigging a 9.0m but decided to go for the 7.5m because I can use that on both boards. Went out on my race board XXL Thommen at first and managed some decent runs on the way out. Went out quite a distance. It started to get a bit lumpy and the board was bouncing quite a bit so I came in and changed to the Mistral Flow. That was better in the shore break but I had trouble getting enough power to get out. Still it was interesting and made a nice change from being on a pond. BEFS and Steve were out on 7.0m I think and Al went out kite surfing for a while. Eventually packed up and dropped into Al's for a coffee. The house is coming on well and looking good. |
